Description
  • Design high voltage power supply, analog/digital and motor control circuits for high-end high voltage (15kV) and high power (10kW) supplies to operate Vacuum Electron Devices
  • Coordinate with Marketing and customers to identify and implement new requirements, features and customization's
  • Work closely with Test, Manufacturing Engineering, QA and Product Support during development and as part of continuous improvements for our products
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of design documentation
  • Amplifier Product Design Authority Responsibility

Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience designing power supply circuits of several topologies and power levels to meet good reliability and EMC requirements
  • Experience with high voltage designs and practical EM field limitations will be a definite asset
  • A team player who is detail-oriented and task focused.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience under ISO9001. Design and manufacturing environment, as well as DFM, DFT hazard analysis
  • Practical experience with PSPice, mixed signal and CPLD, FPGA, VHDL would also be beneficial
  • Proven project engineering experience
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices and requirements for electrical equipment is an asset
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication
  • Knowledge of microwave amplifier performance specifications and test methods are an asset
  • P.Eng designation an asset
  • Must be able to travel
